A vulnerability was found in Pidgin up to 2.10.x (Messaging Software). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function g_snprintf of the component MXIT. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Upgrading to version 2.11.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
