The mozilla::a11y::HyperTextAccessible::GetChildOffset function in the accessibility implementation in Mozilla Firefox before 49.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted web site.
The weakness was presented 09/22/2016 as MFSA2016-85 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-5273. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 49.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
