WebKit in Apple iOS before 10, tvOS before 10, iTunes before 12.5.1 on Windows, and Safari before 10 mishandles error prototypes, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted web site.
The weakness was disclosed 09/20/2016 by Daniel Divricean as HT207143 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-4728 since 05/11/2016. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 09/20/2022).
