CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Unspecified vulnerability in the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) component in Oracle Java SE 7 Update 21 and earlier, 6 Update 45 and earlier, and 5.0 Update 45 and earlier, and OpenJDK 7, allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality via unknown vectors related to Libraries, a different vulnerability than CVE-2013-2443 and CVE-2013-2452. NOTE: the previous information is from the June 2013 CPU. Oracle has not commented on claims from another vendor that this issue is related to incorrect access checks by the (1) getEnclosingClass, (2) getEnclosingMethod, and (3) getEnclosingConstructor methods.

The weakness was disclosed 06/18/2013 by Ben Murphy as Oracle Java SE Critical Patch Update Advisory - June 2013 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-2455 since 03/05/2013. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 69762 (Amazon Linux AMI : java-1.7.0-openjdk (ALAS-2013-204)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Amazon Linux Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 185048 (HP-UX Running Java6 Multiple Vulnerabilities (HPSBUX02908)).

Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability. The advisory contains the following remark:

Due to the threat posed by a successful attack, Oracle strongly recommends that customers apply CPU fixes as soon as possible.
Heise notes, that "[t]his is the last Java update that will occur on the out of sync timetable that has been in play since the start of the year. The next update is scheduled to take place as part of Oracle's normal Critical Patch Update schedule in October this year".

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at Tenable (69762), SecurityFocus (BID 60619†), Secunia (SA54154†) and Vulnerability Center (SBV-40082†).
