A vulnerability was found in GD Graphics Library up to 2.2.2 (Image Processing Software). It has been declared as critical. The read_image_tga function in gd_tga.c in the GD Graphics Library (aka libgd) before 2.2.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a crafted TGA image.
The weakness was published 10/03/2016 by Ke Liu with Tencent (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.opensuse.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-6905 since 08/22/2016.
