A vulnerability was found in SAP NetWeaver 7.40 SP12 (Solution Stack Software). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function SCTC_REORG_SPOOL. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a access control vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-264. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was published 10/11/2016 by Pablo Artuso with Onapsis as confirmed mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. The public release has been coordinated with SAP. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-7435 since 09/09/2016. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely.
