Siemens Automation License Manager (ALM) before 5.3 SP3 Update 1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (ALM service outage) via crafted packets to TCP port 4410.
The weakness was disclosed 10/13/2016 with Kaspersky Lab (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-8563 since 10/07/2016. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
