A vulnerability was found in IBM Security Guardium Database Activity Monitor up to 8.2/9.5/10.1 (Policy Management Software) and classified as critical. IBM Security Guardium Database Activity Monitor 8.2 before p310, 9.x through 9.5 before p700, and 10.x through 10.1 before p100 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges via the search field.
The weakness was published 10/21/2016 by ryan with IBM X-Force (Website). The advisory is shared for download at www-01.ibm.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-0236 since 12/08/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. A simple authentication is needed for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
