The libcurl API function called `curl_maprintf()` before version 7.51.0 can be tricked into doing a double-free due to an unsafe `size_t` multiplication, on systems using 32 bit `size_t` variables.

The weakness was shared 11/03/2016 with Cure53 as 7.50.3 vulnerabilities as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at curl.haxx.se. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-8618 since 10/12/2016. The exploitation is known to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack.
