A vulnerability was found in FFmpeg up to 1.2.1 (Multimedia Processing Software). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is the function jpeg2000_decode_tile of the file libavcodec/jpeg2000dec.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-476. A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
