A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in libpng up to 1.0.17 (Image Processing Software). Affected by this issue is the function png_handle_tRNS of the component PNG Image Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a integer coercion vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-192. Integer coercion refers to a set of flaws pertaining to the type casting, extension, or truncation of primitive data types. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
