A vulnerability was found in perl-XML-Twig (Programming Language Software) (unknown version). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function XML::Twig. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a xml external entity reference vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-611. The product processes an XML document that can contain XML entities with URIs that resolve to documents outside of the intended sphere of control, causing the product to embed incorrect documents into its output. perl-XML-Twig: The option to `expand_external_ents`, documented as controlling external entity expansion in XML::Twig does not work. External entities are always expanded, regardless of the option's setting.
