A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in CMS Made Simple up to 2.1.5 (Content Management System). Affected is an unknown code of the file admin/adduser.php. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in CMS Made Simple before 2.1.6 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that create accounts via an admin/adduser.php request.
The bug was discovered 01/16/2017. The weakness was presented 01/16/2017 by Appsec (Website). The advisory is available at dev.cmsmadesimple.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-7904 since 09/09/2016. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
