Blink in Google Chrome prior to 55.0.2883.75 for Mac, Windows and Linux, and 55.0.2883.84 for Android incorrectly handled iframes, which allowed a remote attacker to bypass a no-referrer policy via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 12/01/2016. The weakness was published 01/19/2017 by Abdulrahman Alqabandi (xisigr) with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-9650 since 11/29/2016. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
