A vulnerability was found in eShop Plugin 6.3.14 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file eshop-orders.php. The manipulation of the argument view/mark/change with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in eshop-orders.php in the eShop plugin 6.3.14 for WordPress allow (1) remote administrators to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the delid parameter or remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (2) view, (3) mark, or (4) change parameter.
The bug was discovered 01/27/2016. The weakness was disclosed 01/23/2017 by Larry Cashdollar (Website). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-0769 since 12/16/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 362 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:eshop-orders.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
