The automatic update feature in KeePass 2.33 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute arbitrary code by spoofing the version check response and supplying a crafted update.
The bug was discovered 05/30/2016. The weakness was disclosed 01/23/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared at bogner.sh. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-5119 since 05/30/2016.
