A vulnerability was found in eClinicalWorks Patient Portal 7.0 Build 13. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function select_loadfile of the file template.jsp. An issue was discovered in eClinicalWorks Patient Portal 7.0 build 13. This is a blind SQL injection within the template.jsp, which can be exploited without the need of authentication and via an HTTP POST request, and which can be used to dump database data out to a malicious server, using an out-of-band technique such as select_loadfile().
The bug was discovered 01/27/2017. The weakness was disclosed 01/23/2017 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-5569 since 01/23/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
