A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Apple Safari up to 10.0.2 (Web Browser). This vulnerability affects the function Frame::setDocument of the component WebKit. The bug was discovered 01/19/2017. The weakness was presented 01/23/2017 by lokihardt with Google Project Zero as HT207484 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-2364 since 12/01/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. Multiple validation issues existed in the handling of page loading. This issue was addressed through improved logic.
