Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the (1) mod_imap module in the Apache HTTP Server 1.3.0 through 1.3.39 and 2.0.35 through 2.0.61 and the (2) mod_imagemap module in the Apache HTTP Server 2.2.0 through 2.2.6 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.
The bug was discovered 12/12/2007. The weakness was released 07/16/2013 as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - July 2013 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at oracle.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-5000 since 09/20/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
