A vulnerability was found in GOsa (version now known). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function displayLogin of the file html/index.php. The manipulation of the argument username with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. Impacted is integrity. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the displayLogin function in html/index.php in GOsa allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the username.
The bug was discovered 01/16/2016. The weakness was published 02/14/2017 by Mike (Website). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-9760 since 01/15/2016.
