Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.194 and earlier have an exploitable heap overflow vulnerability in the Flash Video (FLV) codec. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
The bug was discovered 02/14/2017. The weakness was released 02/14/2017 by Natalie Silvanovich with Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs as APSB17-04 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). The advisory is shared at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-2986 since 12/02/2016. The attack can be launched remotely.
