A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in libdwarf (Programming Tool Software). This issue affects the function dwarf_calculate_info_section_end_ptr of the component File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. The _dwarf_calculate_info_section_end_ptr function in libdwarf before 20160923 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted file.
