The "Plug-in for VMware vCenter" in VCE Vision Intelligent Operations before 2.6.5 sends a cleartext HTTP response upon a request for the Settings screen, which allows remote attackers to discover the admin user password by sniffing the network.
The bug was discovered 06/17/2015. The weakness was disclosed 02/21/2017 as not defined mailinglist post (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-4057 since 05/22/2015. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
