kpac/script.cpp in KDE kio before 5.32 and kdelibs before 4.14.30 calls the PAC FindProxyForURL function with a full https URL (potentially including Basic Authentication credentials, a query string, or PATH_INFO), which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a crafted PAC file.

The bug was discovered 02/28/2017. The weakness was published 03/02/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared at kde.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-6410 since 03/01/2017. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
