The bug was discovered 10/19/2016. The weakness was disclosed 03/07/2017 (Website). The advisory is available at 2016.hack.lu. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-4946 since 05/20/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
