A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue was discovered in webpagetest 3.0. The vulnerability exists due to insufficient filtration of user-supplied data (pssid) passed to the webpagetest-master/www/pss.php URL. An attacker could execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a browser in the context of the vulnerable website.

The bug was discovered 03/07/2017. The weakness was presented 03/08/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-6534 since 03/08/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
