A vulnerability was found in Broadcom ACSD. It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown functionality of the component Wireless Channel Service. Buffer overflow in Broadcom ACSD allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long string to TCP port 5916. This component is used on routers of multiple vendors including ASUS RT-AC66U and TRENDnet TEW-812DRU.
The bug was discovered 07/27/2013. The weakness was published 03/14/2017 by Jacob Holcomb as EDB-ID 27133 as not defined exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is available at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-4659 since 06/24/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
