An issue was discovered in concrete5 <= 5.6.3.4. The vulnerability exists due to insufficient filtration of user-supplied data (fID) passed to the "concrete5-legacy-master/web/concrete/tools/files/selector_data.php" URL. An attacker could execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a browser in the context of the vulnerable website.
The bug was discovered 03/14/2017. The weakness was published 03/15/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-6908 since 03/14/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
