LibTIFF 4.0.7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted TIFF image, related to libtiff/tif_read.c:351:22.
The bug was discovered 03/24/2017. The weakness was published 03/24/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-10266 since 03/24/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
