A vulnerability was found in Apple tvOS up to 10.1 (Digital Media Player). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component libarchive. The bug was discovered 03/27/2017. The weakness was presented 03/27/2017 by Omer Medan with enSilo as HT207601 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-2390 since 12/01/2016. An attack has to be approached locally. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue. The advisory points out:
