A vulnerability was found in Revive Adserver up to 3.2.2 (Advertising Software). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the file affiliate-preview.php. Revive Adserver before 3.2.3 suffers from reflected XSS. The affiliate-preview.php script in www/admin is vulnerable to a reflected XSS attack. This vulnerability could be used by an attacker to steal the session ID of an authenticated user, by tricking them into visiting a specifically crafted URL.
The bug was discovered 03/02/2016. The weakness was disclosed 03/28/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-9128 since 10/31/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is necessary for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
