A vulnerability was found in Sophos Web Appliance up to 4.3.1.1. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component Report Generator. In Sophos Web Appliance (SWA) before 4.3.1.2, a section of the machine's interface responsible for generating reports was vulnerable to remote command injection via the token parameter, aka NSWA-1303.
The bug was discovered 10/19/2017. The weakness was released 03/30/2017 by Russell Sanford (Website). The advisory is available at wsa.sophos.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-6184 since 02/21/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation requires a single authentication.
