The Apple Music (aka com.apple.android.music) application before 2.0 for Android does not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate.
The bug was discovered 04/04/2017. The weakness was shared 04/07/2017 by David Coomber (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-2387 since 12/01/2016. Access to the local network is required for this attack to succeed. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
