The JPEG decoder in ImageMagick before 6.8.9-9 allows local users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds memory access and crash).

The bug was discovered 07/07/2014. The weakness was shared 04/11/2017 by Bastien Roucaries as Bug 1164248 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-8716 since 11/09/2014. The attack needs to be approached locally.
