Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 11.0.19 and earlier, 15.006.30280 and earlier, 15.023.20070 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability in the AES module. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
The bug was discovered 04/11/2017. The weakness was disclosed 04/06/2017 by Ke Liu (kdot) with Tencent as APSB17-11 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). The advisory is available at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-3030 since 12/02/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
