The bug was discovered 04/11/2017. The weakness was presented 04/11/2017 by James Forshaw with Google Project Zero as KB4014981 / KB4014982 / KB4014983 / KB4014984 / KB4015217 / KB4015219 / KB4015221 / KB4015583 / KB4014981 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). The advisory is shared for download at portal.msrc.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-0160 since 09/09/2016. The attack needs to be approached locally. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 99365 (Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework (April 2017)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
