A vulnerability was found in GNU oSIP 4.1.0. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function osip_body_to_str of the file osipparser2/osip_body.c of the component libosip2. The manipulation as part of a SIP Message leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. In libosip2 in GNU oSIP 4.1.0, a malformed SIP message can lead to a heap buffer overflow in the osip_body_to_str() function defined in osipparser2/osip_body.c, resulting in a remote DoS.
The bug was discovered 09/02/2016. The weakness was presented 04/13/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at savannah.gnu.org.
