Affected by this issue is the function URLConnection of the component HTTP Header Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a injection vulnerability. HTTP header injection vulnerability in the URLConnection class in Android OS 2.2 through 6.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary scripts or set arbitrary values in cookies.
The bug was discovered 02/19/2016. The weakness was disclosed 04/13/2017 with Cisco (Website). The advisory is shared for download at jvn.jp.
