An exploitable HTTP Header Injection vulnerability exists in the Web Application functionality of the Moxa AWK-3131A Wireless Access Point running firmware 1.1. A specially crafted HTTP request can inject a payload in the bkpath parameter which will be copied in to Location header of the HTTP response.
The bug was discovered 04/10/2017. The weakness was disclosed 04/13/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at talosintelligence.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-8720 since 10/17/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
