CVE-2026-112286 in laravel-crminfo

Summary

by MITRE • 10/19/2026

Krayin CRM before 2.2.7 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability that allows scope-restricted authenticated users to read other users' quotes by bypassing per-user data scope checks in QuoteController. Attackers can query the quotes search and lead-products endpoints to retrieve quote addresses, totals, contact details, and product pricing belonging to any user or lead.

Analysis

The vulnerability identified in Krayin CRM versions prior to 2.2.7 represents a critical failure in access control mechanisms, specifically categorized under the Common Weakness Enumeration as CWE-639: Insecure Direct Object Reference. This flaw resides within the QuoteController component of the application and stems from an insufficient validation of user permissions when processing requests related to quote data. The core technical issue is that the server-side logic fails to enforce per-user data scope checks effectively, allowing authenticated users with restricted scopes to manipulate input parameters or exploit default behaviors to access resources belonging to other users. By bypassing these critical authorization boundaries, attackers can traverse object references intended for one user and retrieve sensitive information associated with another, violating the principle of least privilege that is fundamental to secure application design.

From an operational perspective, this vulnerability enables unauthorized data exfiltration through specific API endpoints, namely the quotes search endpoint and the lead-products endpoint. An attacker who has successfully authenticated into the system can query these interfaces without needing elevated privileges or administrative rights. The exploitation allows for the retrieval of highly sensitive business intelligence including quote addresses, financial totals, customer contact details, and proprietary product pricing structures. This level of access compromises not only individual privacy but also organizational confidentiality, as competitors could potentially gain insight into pricing strategies or client lists if such data were to leak externally. The impact is severe because it undermines the integrity of multi-tenant environments where data isolation between users is a primary security requirement.

This type of vulnerability aligns with several tactics in the MITRE ATT&CK framework, particularly those related to Collection and Exfiltration over Application Protocol. It reflects common patterns seen in web application attacks where improper object reference validation leads to unauthorized access. To mitigate this risk, developers must implement strict server-side authorization checks that verify not only user authentication but also explicit ownership or permission rights for every requested resource before returning data. Input validation should ensure that any identifiers passed in requests are validated against the current session's permissions context. Additionally, implementing robust logging and monitoring can help detect anomalous access patterns indicative of such exploitation attempts. Upgrading to version 2.2.7 or later is essential as it addresses these specific control failures within the QuoteController logic.
