A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that the \nChakra JavaScript engine renders when handling objects in memory in \nMicrosoft Edge. The vulnerability could corrupt memory in such a way \nthat an attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the \ncurrent user.

The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 91370 (Microsoft Edge Security Update for May 2017).
Applying the patch 4019472 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at catalog.update.microsoft.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
