In all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, while processing a voice SVC request which is nonstandard by specifying a payload size that will overflow its own declared size, an out of bounds memory copy occurs.
The bug was discovered 05/01/2017. The weakness was presented 05/12/2017 with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is shared at codeaurora.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-8245 since 04/25/2017. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally.
