A Remote Code Execution vulnerability in HPE Intelligent Management Center (iMC) PLAT version 7.3 E0504P04 was found.
The bug was discovered 05/11/2017. The weakness was disclosed 05/14/2017 as [security bulletin] HPESBHF03745 rev.1 - HPE Intelligent Management Center (iMC) PLAT, Remote Code Execution as confirmed mailinglist post (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at seclists.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-5818 since 02/01/2017. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 3 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
