The WebUI component in Deluge before 1.3.15 contains a directory traversal vulnerability involving a request in which the name of the render file is not associated with any template file.

The bug was discovered 05/15/2017. The weakness was disclosed 05/17/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at dev.deluge-torrent.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-9031 since 05/17/2017. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
