A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Windows up to Server 2016 (Operating System). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function nt!NtQueryInformationWorkerFactory of the component KASLR. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. The bug was discovered 06/13/2017. The weakness was published 06/13/2017 by Mateusz Jurczyk with Google Project Zero as KB4022719 as confirmed security update guide (Website). The advisory is available at portal.msrc.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-0300 since 09/09/2016. The exploitation is known to be difficult. Local access is required to approach this attack. The successful exploitation requires a simple authentication. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
