A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Windows up to Server 2016 (Operating System) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the component XML Handler. An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the Windows System Information Console when it improperly parses XML input containing a reference to an external entity. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could read arbitrary files via an XML external entity (XXE) declaration.
