An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.12.6 is affected. The issue involves the "Intel Graphics Driver" component. It allows attackers to bypass intended memory-read restrictions via a crafted app.
The bug was discovered 07/19/2017. The weakness was released 07/19/2017 by Lufeng Li (riusksk) with Qihoo 360 as HT207922 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-7045 since 03/17/2017. Local access is required to approach this attack. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The advisory points out:
