Apache Struts 2.0.0 through 2.3.15.1 allows remote attackers to bypass access controls via a crafted action: prefix.

The weakness was published 09/17/2013 by Zhangyan (L) with Huawei PSIRT as S2-018 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cwiki.apache.org. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-4310 since 06/12/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
