XOOPS Core 2.5.8 has a stored URL redirect bypass vulnerability in /modules/profile/index.php because of the URL filter.

The bug was discovered 07/19/2017. The weakness was published 08/02/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-12138 since 08/01/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
