A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Edge on Win10/Server 2016 (Web Browser) (affected version unknown). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function InterpreterStackFrame::ProcessLinkFailedAsmJsModule of the component Javascript Engine. The manipulation of the argument PushPopFrameHelper with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The bug was discovered 08/08/2017. The weakness was shared 08/08/2017 with Google Project Zero as KB4034674 as confirmed security update guide (Website). A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that Microsoft browser JavaScript engines render content when handling objects in memory. The vulnerability could corrupt memory in such a way that an attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
